When you get paid using Melio, you'll choose who pays the credit card fee—you or your customer. The default is your customer, but you can change this at any time. Here's how:
To learn more about credit card fees, please see the following.
1 - Select the Settings icon from the left-hand sidebar.
2 - Under the Get Paid section, select Receiving method.
3 - Under the Receiving method section, scroll down to Accepted payment methods. You can use the toggle switches to select how customers can pay and who pays fees for card payments by default.
4 - To charge the card fee to your business instead of your customer, select Charge fees to my business.
5 - In the popup screen, select the option to charge the fee to your business.
6 - To confirm this change, select Save.
That's it! The card fees will now be charged to your business by default. When your customer schedules the payment, they'll see the fee is $0 when confirming the payment. Once the payment is collected, you'll be charged the card fee and receive a receipt via email. You can also review all your fee payments in Settings, under Billing.
