If a staff member no longer needs access to your firm’s account, Melio makes it easy to remove them. This guide explains how to remove staff members from your accounting firm’s Melio account.
Please note:
- Only the owner and admins of the accounting firm can remove staff members from the firm’s account.

How to remove a staff member from your firm’s Melio account
Follow these steps to remove a staff member from your firm’s Melio account:
1 - Sign in to your firm’s Melio account.
2 - Select Staff on the left sidebar.
3 - Find the staff member from whom you want to unassign clients.
4 - Select a three-dot icon next to the chosen staff member.
5 - Select Remove member from the actions menu.
6 - A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the action. Select Yes, remove member.
That’s it. You successfully removed a staff member from your firm’s Melio account.
Please note:
- Removing a staff member from your firm’s Melio account doesn’t affect any of your clients.
- You can assign another staff member to the clients if needed.
