Accounting firms
If you're an accounting firm, this program appears as Grow and earn in your Melio account. The reward conditions described in this article are the same - but you also get an additional way to earn: a reward for new clients you add using Add client.

What makes a referral completed
A referral is completed and reward-eligible when both of the following are true:
- The business you referred signs up for Melio as a new registration using your link, or, if you're an accounting firm, is added as a new client to your clients’ list.
- They reach $500 in completed payments (sent to a vendor or received from the customer) within 60 days of signing up.
"Completed" means the payment has actually been sent or received. If a payment is scheduled within the 60-day window but completes shortly after, it still counts toward the payments threshold.
When a referral does not earn a reward
- The referred business doesn't reach $500 in completed payments within 60 days - the referral moves to Expired status.
- The signup is not a new Melio registration (for example, the business already has a Melio account).
- The referred business didn’t use your referral link to register their Melio account.
- The referral does not pass Melio's or Impact.com's standard risk checks.
- For accountants: If the client already had a Melio account before you added or referred them, they don't qualify - same as any other referral. New clients you add can become completed referrals under the standard conditions above.
What the referred business gets
Businesses that sign up through a referral link receive a 15% discount on their Melio subscription. This is the same discount offered to any new Melio registration. It's applied at sign-up, no promo code needed.
