With Melio, your vendors can email invoices directly to a unique email address linked to your account. When an invoice is sent to this address, a bill is automatically created in your Bills tab - ready for you to review and pay.

Sharing guidelines for vendors
To ensure invoices are scanned and added correctly, ask your vendors to follow these guidelines when emailing invoices to your Pay Bills email:
- One invoice per file (no multiple invoices in one PDF)
- The file must be attached in an accepted format: PDF, JPEG, PNG, or GIF
- Maximum file size: 10MB
💡 Tip: Add your Pay Bills email to your digital signature so vendors know where to send invoices.
How to find bills sent to your Pay Bills email
When an invoice is sent to your Pay Bills email, a new bill is automatically created in your account. These bills are easy to spot in your Bills tab:
- They will be marked as Review in the Action column, so you can easily identify which bills still need to be checked. It’s important that you review these bills to check that the details are correct.
- You'll also receive a notification in the notification center when new bills arrive.
How to review bills that arrive via email
Bills that arrive via email are automatically created using the system's scanning technology. It's important to review these bills before paying to ensure the details were extracted accurately.
1- In the Bills tab, find the bills marked as Review in the Action column. These are the bills that have been automatically created in your account. Select Review next to the bill to open the bill details.
2- In the Bill details section, review and update any bill or vendor information as needed.
If all the necessary details couldn't be extracted from the invoice, you'll need to fill them in manually.
3- When you're ready and the review is complete, choose one of the following:
- Select Save and pay to schedule the payment right away.
- Select More actions to:
- Save and close - save the bill and pay when you're ready
- Delete bill - permanently remove the bill
- Mark as paid - if the bill has already been paid, you can use this to mark the bill as paid.
That's it! You can now start using your Pay Bills email to have invoices sent directly to your Melio account.
