How to import bills from your OneDrive

  • Updated

Automatically importing invoices from a synced OneDrive folder to Melio saves you time and reduces manual errors. Once connected, invoices from your chosen folder will appear under the Bills tab, where you can review and pay them.

In this guide, you'll see how to:

Connect from your Bills tab

You can sync your OneDrive account and Melio accounts from your Bills tab. Here's how:

1- Sign in to your Melio account.

2- In your Pay dashboard, select the Bills tab.

3- Select the Connect an app button.

4- Find OneDrive in the apps list and select Connect.

5- You will then be taken through the process of connecting your OneDrive account. Choose which OneDrive account you'd like to connect, and complete your sign-in.

If you see an “unverified app” screen when connecting OneDrive, you can continue safely. Melio only requests read access to the folder you choose.

6- Choose the single folder you want Melio to sync, then continue to allow Melio to access it. Connecting might take a minute.

Supported file types

Melio imports images or PDF files. Other file types in the folder will not be imported.

7- Your OneDrive is now connected, and invoice files already in your chosen folder will be added to your Bills tab. New files you add to that folder are imported automatically.

8- New bills imported from your OneDrive account will appear in the Bills tab.

You can also find these imported bills listed with the vendor under the Vendors tab. You can select the bill listed under the Unpaid bills column or select Pay balance.

Connect from Settings

You can also sync your OneDrive account and Melio accounts from Settings. Here's how:

1- Sign in to your Melio account.

2- Go to Settings.

3- Select Sync and import from the left-hand menu.

4- In the Sync and import section, scroll down to the Bill Importing option. Under OneDrive, select Connect.
