How to upload multiple bill files

Melio makes bill pay fast and efficient for businesses. You can upload several bill files to your account at once, saving you time and effort.

Upload multiple bills at once

1- Sign in to your Melio account.

2- In your Pay dashboard, select the Bills tab.

3- Select the Import bills dropdown arrow.

Bulk file upload

4- From the options menu, select Upload invoice file.

5- Choose multiple files (PDF or JPG) from your computer. 

You can upload up to 10 files at a time. Melio accepts PDF, JPEG, JPG, and PNG files up to 10MB. Upload one invoice per bill. The system will scan your invoice and autofill payment details, but always review for accuracy.

6- A popup will appear in the bottom right-hand corner. Here you can track the progress of the uploads for the files. It could take a moment for the files to process.

How to upload and review multiple bills at once

7- Once the upload is complete, the pop-up will show the number of uploads. You can close it by selecting the X in the right corner.

8- Your new bills will now appear in the bill list. For each uploaded bill, Review will be listed under the Action column. The uploaded bills will also all have the same creation date. You can now continue to review your bills.

Review your bills

Each bill must be reviewed before scheduling a payment. This can be done straight away or when you're ready to complete the payment.

Review directly from the Bills tab

1- Select Review next to each bill to check the details. 

2- Check and edit the details, or add any missing information. If information is missing from the vendor, you may also be required to review and add the vendor details. Once you have reviewed the bill details, select Save and pay if you want to complete payment.

3- Select More Actions if you want to:

  • Save and close - the bill is now reviewed and ready to be paid later.
  • Mark as paid - the bill will be marked as paid.
  • Delete bill

That's it! You've successfully uploaded and reviewed your bills, making them ready for payment.

Review by viewing the bill first

1- In the Bills tab, select the three dots next to the bill awaiting review.

2- Select View bill from the action menu. This will open the scanned invoice details.

3- In the scanned invoice details page there are two ways to proceed to the bill review. You can select Review the bill in the Bill record, or you can select the Review Bill button

4- Check and edit the details, or add any missing information. If information is missing from the vendor, you may also be required to review and add the vendor details. Once you have reviewed the bill details, select Save and pay if you want to complete payment.

5- Select More Actions if you want to:

  • Save and close - the bill is now reviewed and ready to be paid later.
  • Mark as paid - the bill will be marked as paid.
  • Delete bill

That's it! You've successfully uploaded and reviewed your bills, making them ready for payment.
