If you've been offered a Melio Card, activating it takes a few minutes: you fill out a business profile, and we review it before your card is ready to use. This article explains how to apply for a Melio card step-by-step.

Before you start
You can be offered a Melio Card in a few ways. You’ll see the option to get the future payments from the payor you are receiving a payment from on a reusable Melio card.
How to apply for a Melio card
Step 1: Start your application
1 - Select Get Melio Card to begin.
Step 2: Sign-up for a Melio account
2 - Enter the email address and password you’d like to use for your Melio account.
3 - A verification code will be sent to your email address. Enter it to proceed to the next step.
4 - Add your phone number.

Step 3: Complete your business profile
5 - Fill out your business profile in three parts:
- Your information: first and last name, email, phone number, and date of birth. Provide your own details in this section even if you're completing this profile on someone else's behalf.
- Business information: company name, legal business name, address, business industry, ID, etc.
- Control person/ Business owner information - depends on the information you provided in the previous section.
These details help verify your identity and keep your account secure.
6 - Read and agree to the terms and conditions, privacy policy, and commercial financing disclosures, and confirm that the information you provided is accurate.
Step 4: Wait for review
Once you submit your profile, we review your business details and check your eligibility for Melio Card. In some cases, this can take up to 2 business days. You'll get an email once the review is complete.
Step 5: Once you're approved
If your Melio card is approved, you'll get an email letting you know your card is ready to use, with a link to view it.
- You can share a payment link or send an invoice to start receiving payments from other payors the same way.
- You can view your card, add it to your phone's wallet, and check your transaction history any time you log in.
If we're unable to approve your application, you'll be notified by email.
