Exploring your Melio homepage

  • Updated

When you first sign in to Melio, you'll land on the homepage for your business’s account. Consider this the central hub for managing your accounts payable activity. From here, you can see the status of your payments and bills at a glance, act on urgent items, and quickly navigate to the tasks you came to complete.

This guide covers the key sections of the homepage and explains what each one is for.

In this guide:

If you have multiple Melio accounts, each company will have its own homepage.

Most sections of the homepage will allow you to access Agent Mel by selecting the purple diamond in the bottom left corner. From there, you can ask Agent Mel questions specific to the information you have been shown.

Agent Mel is available for accounts on a Core subscription plan or higher. For more info, scroll down to the Agent Mel section of this guide.

If you have synced your Melio account with an accounting software, your homepage will automatically pull in your latest data, keeping everything up to date.

Outgoing payments

The Outgoing payments section shows the total value of your scheduled payments and how they're distributed across the coming days. This will include any recurring payments you have set up, so you are aware of the debit dates ahead of time.

Payments are broken down by status, including Scheduled and Pending approval, so you can see exactly what's lined up and what still needs action.

The debit dates displayed will cover payments from all Payment methods on your account, including cards.

If you pay using a card, when you're debited depends on your card provider. This may be different from the estimated debit date shown on the homepage.

Use the dropdown menu to adjust the timeframe between the Next 7 days or the Next 30 days.

If you select the 3 vertical dots in the bottom left corner and then select View all payments, you will be brought to the Payments tab.

Bills to pay

The Bills to pay section shows how many bills are due over the next 3 months and their total value. Bill statuses include Ready for payment, Draft, Pending approval, and Overdue, so you can quickly see where your bills are in the payment lifecycle.

If you select the 3 vertical dots in the bottom left corner and then select View all bills, you will be brought to the Bills tab.

Think a bill is missing?

  • Any bills that are more than 3 months overdue will not be displayed.
  • Once a bill is scheduled for payment, it will be accounted for in the Outgoing payments section.
