With Get Paid, you can create and send branded invoices to your customers. You can also edit invoices until your customer processes them. This guide explains how to edit invoices.
To learn how to change a customer's email address after sending an invoice, please see the following guide.
1- In your Melio dashboard, select Get Paid from the left sidebar.
2- In the Invoices tab, find the invoice you would like to edit. Remember, once an invoice is marked as processed or has a Paid status, changes cannot be made to it.
3- Select the three dots on the right side of the invoice.
4- From the Actions menu pop-up, select Edit.
5- In the Edit Invoice window, make changes to the invoice details.
Line items cannot be edited for an existing invoice. You can always delete and create new items. The invoice number is also non-editable after the invoice has already been issued.
6- To save and share your edited invoice with the customer, select Save and share at the bottom of the Edit Invoice window.
To save the edited invoice, select Save and close at the bottom of the Edit Invoice window. The updated invoice will not be shared with the customer. The invoice will appear under the Invoices tab.
7- If you selected Save and share, you'll see a preview of the updated invoice in the Share invoice screen.
8- To make further edits, select Back to invoice at the bottom of the screen.
9- Under sharing options, choose how you want to share your invoice.
