How to import bills from your Gmail account

Automatically importing your Gmail invoices to Melio saves you time and reduces manual errors. Once connected, invoices from your Gmail will appear under the Bills tab, where you can review and pay them.

In this guide, you'll see how to:

Connect from your Bills tab

You can sync your Gmail and Melio accounts from your Bills tab. Here's how:

1- Sign in to your Melio account.

2- In your Pay dashboard, select the Bills tab.

3- Select the Import bills dropdown arrow.

4- Select Connect accounts.

5- In the popup menu, select Connect Gmail.

6- You will then be taken through the process of connecting your Gmail account. Choose which Gmail account you'd like to connect, and complete your Gmail sign-in.

8- Continue to allow Melio to access your Gmail account. Connecting might take a minute.

9- Your Gmail is now connected, and bills and invoice attachments from the last 30 days will be added to your Bills tab. 

10- New bills imported from your Gmail will appear in the Bills tab and are marked as Review in the Action column, so you can easily identify which bills still need to be checked.

All imported bills need to be reviewed before you can schedule payment. To review a bill, select Review from the action column. You can then review and update bill details and either select More actions, followed by Save and close, or select Save and pay to schedule payment straight away.

You can also find these imported Bills listed with the vendor under the Vendors tab. You can select the bill listed under the Unpaid bills column or select Pay balance.

You'll also receive a notification in the notification center when new bills arrive.

Connect from Settings

You can also sync your Gmail and Melio accounts from Settings. Here's how:

1- Sign in to your Melio account.

2- Go to Settings.

3- Select Sync and import from the left-hand menu. 

4- In the Sync and import section, scroll down to the Bill Importing option. Under Gmail, select Connect.

5- You will then be taken through the process of connecting your Gmail account. Choose which Gmail account you'd like to connect, and complete your Gmail sign-in.

6- Continue to allow Melio to access your Gmail account. Connecting might take a minute.

7- Your Gmail is now connected, and bills and invoice attachments from the last 30 days will be added to your Bills tab. 

8- New bills imported from your Gmail will appear in the Bills tab and are marked as Review in the Action column, so you can easily identify which bills still need to be checked.

Disconnect your Gmail

Don't want to automatically sync your Gmail bills anymore? No problem, just follow these steps:

1- Sign in to your Melio account.

2- Go to Settings.

3- Select Sync and import from the left-hand menu. 

4- In the Sync and import section, scroll down to the Bill Importing option. Under Gmail, select Disconnect.

5- Select Yes, disconnect it.

That's it! Your Gmail account is now disconnected from Melio.
