Once you understand the timelines for different payment and delivery methods, this article will help you track your payment as soon as the funds have been collected.
Track the progress of your payment
Payments have a very linear journey:
1. When you upload a bill, it appears in your Bills tab.
2. After you schedule a future payment, with or without a bill, it moves to the Payments tab under the Scheduled sub-tab.
3. When Melio collects the funds on the deducted date, it will move to the In progress sub-tab.
4. When the payment is sent to the vendor, it will move to the Paid sub-tab.
When the payment is in the Paid sub-tab, the payment progress bar helps you monitor the rest of the journey.
The payment progress bar is located at the top of the payment details section, on the right side of the page.
The payment progress bar shows:
- Stage 1: Deducted—The money was collected from your account.
- Stage 2: Sent/In transit—The payment is being processed.
NOTE: Deducted and Sent/In transit are always shown together
The payment moves to the Paid tab after we send it to the vendor. So, these two stages will always be shown together as one stage.
- Stage 3: Cleared/Deposited—The money has been successfully delivered to your vendor’s account.
Additionally, when a payment has cleared and reaches stage 3, a green Paid label is added.
If the payment is unsuccessful, it will move to the Failed sub-tab. The Failed sub-tab appears only when there are failed payments.
