Updating your saved login details for Melio.com

  • Updated

Updating your saved login details ensures your browser or password manager automatically fills your details on our new domain, melio.com, saving you time during sign-in.

Melio has moved from meliopayments.com to melio.com. While we worked to make this transition easy, your browser or password manager (like 1Password, LastPass, or Google Password Manager) might still link your login details to our old web address.

This article contains the following sections:

Why is an update necessary?

For security reasons, browsers and password managers "lock" your credentials to a specific web domain. Because we moved to a shorter domain, your device sees melio.com as a new site and will not automatically provide your old password.

How to update your saved password

The "Re-save" method (easiest)

The simplest way to update your credentials is to let your browser handle the change:

1 - Navigate to app.melio.com

2 - Manually type in your email and password.

3 - Select Sign In

4 - When your browser asks to "Update password for melio.com?" or "Save password?", select Update or Save.

What if the browser doesn’t offer to save my credentials?

If you are not automatically prompted, follow these steps based on your specific browser or tool:

Google Chrome users

If Chrome does not prompt you to save the credentials automatically, follow these steps:

1 - Select the three dots in the top right corner of Chrome.

2 - Select Passwords and autofill. Then, select Google Password Manager

3 - Search for "meliopayments"

4 - Copy your password.

5 - Go to melio.com, paste the credentials, and select Save when prompted.

Safari (Mac & iOS) users

To update your credentials on an Apple device:

1 - Open Settings (or System Settings).

2 - Select Passwords

3 - Find your meliopayments.com entry.

4 - Select Edit and add melio.com as an authorized website, or use these details to log in to the new site and save them when prompted.

Password managers (1Password, LastPass, Dashlane)

If you use a dedicated manager, you can update the entry directly in your vault:

1 - Open your Password manager vault.

2 - Find the entry for Melio or Meliopayments

3 - Edit the URL or Website field from meliopayments.com to melio.com

4 - Save the changes.

Check if your password manager supports domain equivalence.

If supported, you can use one set of credentials for both melio.com and meliopayments.com. Simply add them as equivalent domains in your password manager settings.

Troubleshooting login issues

If you have forgotten your password entirely, select the "Forgot Password?" link on the sign-in page to receive a reset link via email.
