Why use personalized vendor suggestions?
Building your vendor list manually can be time-consuming, especially when you have many recurring relationships. By connecting your bank account via Plaid, Melio can surface suggestions based on your real payment history.

How it looks in your Melio account
When you're in the Vendors tab, you'll see a dedicated banner that invites you to add the familiar vendors to help you get started quickly.
How it works
We use secure transaction data from your Plaid-connected bank account to identify your most frequent or recent vendors.
- No duplicates: We only suggest vendors that aren't already in your Melio account.
- Initial data: If you decide to add the suggested vendors to your Melio account, only the vendor's name is imported initially.
- Flexibility: You can add contact information, addresses, and delivery methods at any time after the vendor is created.

How to use it
Follow these steps to add a suggested vendor to your Melio account:
1 - Open the Vendors tab to see the banner with the suggested vendors.
2 - Select all the vendors you’d like to add to your Melio account.
3 - That’s it. A new vendor will be created and appear in your vendors list. You’ll see a confirmation message at the top of the screen.
How to opt out or dismiss suggestions
You always have full control over your data and which vendors appear in your Melio account.
If you prefer not to use vendor suggestions:
1 - Click the X button on the banner.
2 - This will close the banner, and you won’t see it again.
3 - After closing the banner, you will be opted out of this feature.
