There are many tasks to manage when running your business. The Notifications Center in your Melio account helps keep you organized by displaying urgent tasks that need your attention.
To open the Notification Center, select the Bell icon at the top-right corner of the screen.

- Failed payments notifications
- Notifications for payments requiring Admin approval (available only for Core and Boost subscription plans)
- Overdue bills notifications

Failed payments notifications
What the notification shows:
- The total number of failed payments.
- The total amount of failed payments.
The notification will be marked with this icon .
To review the failed payment notifications:
1 - In the Notifications center, select View payment.
2 - You’ll be directed to the Payments tab filtered by failed payments.
If there’s only one failed payment, it will appear on the right side of the screen with the payment and bill details.
3 - To handle the desired failed payment, select Resolve in the Action column.
That’s it! Now, you can proceed with resolving the failed payment.
Notifications for payments requiring Admin approval
What the notification shows:
- The total number of payments that are pending Admin approval.
- The total amount of these payments.
The payment approval workflow is available to Core and Boost plan subscribers.
Below, you can see how this notification appears in the Notifications Center.
To review the payments pending Admin approval:
1 - In your Notifications center, select View payments next to the payments pending approval information.
2 - You’ll be directed to the Approvals tab, where you can review all the payments pending approval.
3 - To approve the desired payment, select Approve in the Action column.
Note: Select the three-dot icon to decline, view, edit, or reschedule the payment.
That’s it! Now you can proceed with the payment approval.
Overdue bills notifications
What the notification shows:
- The number of bills with past due dates that have yet to be paid.
- Total amount of these bills.
This is how it appears in the Notifications center:
To review the overdue bills:
1 - In your Notifications center, select View bills.
2 - You’ll be directed to the Bills tab, filtered by overdue bills.
3 - You can pay the desired bill by selecting Pay in the Action column.

Alternatively, you can select a three-dot icon to view, edit, delete, or mark the bill as paid.
That’s it! Now you can proceed with resolving the overdue bills.
Unpaid bills notifications
What the notification shows:
- The number of bills that are due in the upcoming 7 days.
- The total amount of these bills.
The notification will be marked with this icon .
To see the unpaid bills:
1 - Select View bills.
2 - You’ll be directed to the Bills tab, filtered by unpaid bills that are not overdue.
3 - You can pay the desired bill by selecting Pay in the Action column.

Alternatively, you can select a three-dot icon to view, edit, delete, or mark the bill as paid.
Note: To determine the sorting order of the bills, check the direction of the arrow in the Due date column.
- If the arrow points down, the bills with the nearest due date will appear at the bottom of the list.
- If the arrow points up, the bills with the nearest due date will appear at the top of the list.
- You can change the sorting order by selecting the Due date column.
That’s it! Now you can proceed with paying your unpaid bills.
How to clear the notifications list
To clear the notifications list by addressing the issue in the relevant tab:
- Overdue and unpaid bills: Go to the Bills tab, pay the bills, or delete them.
- Pending Admin approval payments: Go to the Approvals tab and approve or decline the payments.
- Failed payments: Go to Payments tab and resolve the failed payments.
By reviewing and addressing these tasks, you can easily stay on top of your payments and bills.
