What do my clients get?
When you subscribe your client to Melio, they receive access for three users on their account, in addition to your accountant access.
Melio offers three subscription plans for your clients: Core, Boost, and Unlimited.
These plans include valuable features like:
- Advanced approval workflows
- 2-way auto-sync with accounting software
- Multiple payment options
- And more
Melio provides accounting firms with a discount that can be passed on to their clients. Visit our Accountants page for current pricing details.

Can I subscribe my client to a free plan?
No. The Go plan (Melio’s free plan) allows access for only one user - the business owner. Because of this limitation, accountants cannot connect with clients on the Go plan.
Who pays for the client’s subscription?
You decide who covers the subscription fee when setting up your client’s account:
- Client pays: You or your client can add a payment method, and Melio will charge them directly.
- Your firm pays: We’ll charge your firm and provide a detailed billing breakdown per client.
You can change this setting if needed.

How does billing work if clients have different billing cycles?
If you're covering the subscription, you'll be charged monthly in advance for the upcoming month. For clients added mid-cycle, fees are prorated accordingly.
