Yes! With Melio, you can seamlessly pay your international vendors in their local currencies. They donโt even need a Melio account to accept payments.
Currently, we facilitate these payments to vendors who accept 15 currencies across Europe, Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region. We are continuously expanding our list of supported currencies to better serve your needs.
Payments are debited from your US Dollar account, and your vendor gets paid in their own currency.

How do I know what the conversion rate is for my payment?
Both the USD amount that is deducted from your account and the amount in the foreign currency your vendor gets are clearly indicated.
When youโre making an international payment with foreign currency, youโll see both amounts, along with the conversion rate.
Will the rate change?
We're displaying the current rate, which might change by the time you complete scheduling the payment. This might happen due to rates fluctuating all the time.
Don't worry, though! Once you click Confirm and Schedule, your rate is secured, ensuring your payment won't be impacted by any changes.
What can I pay with?
Like any other International payment, you can pay via ACH bank transfer, with Mastercard or Visa credit card*.
Are there any fees for an international payment in a foreign currency?
The international processing and conversion fees are already included in the conversion rate, so there are no additional international fees. However, other fees unrelated to the international payment, such as payment method fees, may still apply.
More important notes:
- International payments currently canโt be made from businesses registered in Texas or Vermont.
- Puerto Rico is not considered an international payment, since it is legally a US territory.
