How to connect your bank account to the Melio mobile app automatically with Plaid

When you add a bank account to Melio, you need to verify it before completing payments. You can connect your bank account to the Melio mobile app in two ways:

This article will guide you through the process of connecting your bank account automatically and verifying it instantly through Plaid in the Melio mobile app. If you are using the web version, please refer to this guide

How to verify your bank account instantly in the Melio mobile app through Plaid

1- Start making a new payment, adding a bill, or paying a saved bill.

2- In the Pay with section, select Add payment method.

If you already have a bank account added but wish to add another, select Change. 

3 - On the Payment methods screen, choose + Add bank account or + Add another bank account

Please note: If you are using the iOS Melio mobile app, you can add a bank account from Settings:

1 - Tap your business name at the top of the screen.

2 - Select Settings.

3 - Select Payment methods.

4 - Select + Add bank account  or + Add another bank account.

4 - You will be prompted to Plaid. You can then enter your phone number to log in or sign up with Plaid. Alternatively, you can continue as a guest.

5 - Select Instant when asked how you’ll link your bank account. Select Continue.

6 - Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the verification process.

If you don’t see your bank listed, you’ll need to manually connect your bank account and verify with a micro-deposit. This method takes about 1-2 days.

That’s it! Your bank account is successfully connected to your Melio account. You can use it to pay your vendors.
