Receive instant payments to your bank account

  • Updated

When a customer pays you through Melio, you may receive an email with the option to get paid instantly to your bank account. Vendors don’t need to have a Melio account to accept or expedite these payments.

This article explains how you, as a vendor, can expedite the payment and receive it instantly.

It contains the following sections:

Why get paid instantly?

  • Fast and reliable: Receive instant payment to your bank account within seconds.
  • Cost-effective: Check our Pricing page to find out the fees the vendor pays when choosing instant payment to a bank account.
  • Convenient: Get your payment faster with just a couple of clicks.

What do I need to know as a vendor?

  • You can use this option anytime before the original estimated ACH transfer delivery date.
  • The instant payment option is only available for eligible payments. If you didn't receive an email with the option to get paid instantly, it means the payment isn't eligible.
  • For some eligible payments, we may also offer to switch the payment delivery method to a virtual card. Please refer to this guide for more information.

How to get paid instantly into your bank account

Follow these steps to get paid instantly into your bank account:

1- Open the payment email from Melio. The email includes the payment details, including the amount, invoice number, and the estimated payment delivery date.

2 - Select Get Paid instantly.

If you see two options to expedite your payment (virtual card and instant bank transfer), select Get an instant transfer.

3 - Then, select Confirm and accept.

You’ll see confirmation that your instant payment has been sent.

That’s it! Your payment should arrive in your bank account in seconds.

What to expect after a payment is instantly deposited

A fee is charged to get your money instantly, and it's deducted from the total payment amount. So, the amount you receive will be less than your original invoice.

You’ll get an email from Melio showing you the amount you received minus the fee, for example:
