No matter how you pay, your vendors still receive their payment the way they want—by check or ACH bank transfer. Unsure how they want to get paid? It's easy to ask them straight from the Melio app.

Paying a vendor for the first time
If you know how your vendor wants to be paid, you can select the delivery method when paying that vendor for the first time. Here's how:
- Make a payment for a new or existing bill as usual.
- You’ll be asked to choose what to send to your vendor. There’s three options:
c. Paper check
NOTE: Verified vendors delivery method is already chosen
If your vendor is part of Melio’s Network or has chosen Single-use Virtual Card (SUVC), you won’t be able to change their delivery method.
Bank transfer
a. Tap Bank transfer (ACH).
b. Add your vendor’s ACH routing number and account number. Tap Save.
Paper check
a. Tap Paper check.
b. Fill in the name on the check.
c. Tap Address line 1 to start searching for your vendor's address.
d. Confirm the details in the address and tap Save.
- Complete your payment as usual.
Paying a vendor you’ve paid before
Want to pay a vendor that you've paid before on either the app or the Melio site? Their delivery method will already be selected. You can still choose another delivery method. Here's how:
- Make a payment for a new or existing bill as usual.
- Your delivery method will already be selected.
- Tap Send as.
- Tap Change in the top right corner.
- You’ll be asked how they prefer to get paid. There’s three options:
c. Paper check
Bank transfer
a. Tap Bank transfer (ACH).
b. Add your vendor’s ACH routing number and account number. Tap Save.
Paper check
a. Tap Paper check.
b. Fill in the name on the check.
c. Tap Address line 1 to start searching for your vendor's address.
d. Confirm the details in the address and tap Save.
- Complete your payment as usual.
