Pay your vendors faster with the fast or overnight check options.
Fast checks are sent in 3 business days. If you need to get your payment there even faster, choose the overnight check option—your check will arrive the next business day. Both fast and overnight checks are being sent via FedEx instead of USPS’s regular delivery time of 5 to 7 business days.

How can I make a fast or overnight check payment?
You can make a fast or overnight check payment when paying with your bank account or card.
You’ll have the option to expedite check delivery when scheduling your payment deduction date.
1- Sign in to your Melio account.
2- Create a bill, pay a saved one, or make a payment without a bill.
3- Choose how you wish to pay- via bank account or card. Select Continue.
4- When asked how your vendor would like to receive the payment, select Paper check.
5- Fill in the vendor’s name and mailing address. This is the name that will appear on the check. Next, select Continue.
6- When selecting a date for your payment to be debited, make sure to select the desired delivery speed:
- 1 business day for an overnight check.
- 3 business days for a fast check.
Then, select Continue.
If you don’t see any of these options, they are unavailable for this payment.
7- Add a memo to the payment notification that the vendor will receive. This will help the vendor understand the purpose of the payment. Next, add the vendor's email address. Select Continue.
What should you put in the memo?
- The invoice number is set as the default. You can also add a description of the payment.
- The memo appears in the email notification your vendor receives, as well as printed on the check.
8- Next, review the payment details. You can edit details by selecting Edit on the left of each listed detail.
9- After review, select Confirm and schedule payment.
That’s it! Melio will send you an email with the payment details. You can also notify your vendor that their payment is on the way.
Why can’t I see the fast or overnight check option?
There can be a number of reasons why the fast or overnight check option is not available for your payment:
- Your legal details are missing.
- It’s a recurring payment.
- The check address is a P.O. Box.
