Did you request your vendor’s payment details when scheduling a payment but they didn’t fill it out in time? This article will help you resolve it quickly.
The link to fill out payment delivery details remains valid for 7 business days. If the link expired and your vendor wants to fill out their details, here’s what you can do:
1. Sign in to Melio
2. Go to Pay in the left sidebar.
3. Locate the payment for that vendor in your Pay inbox.
Note: The payment will have a red FAILED label above the amount.
Here’s what it looks like:
4. On the right, you’ll see the reason the payment failed: Vendor’s payment details were not provided.
5. Click Resolve and reschedule payment.
6. Reschedule the payment.
That’s it! When you’re done rescheduling the payment, Melio sends your vendor another email with a link to fill in their details.
You can see the link expiration date for that payment above the Payment activity screen on the right (in your Pay inbox).
Tip: Let your vendor know to fill out their details on time.
We recommend letting your vendor know to fill out their details as soon as possible so that they can receive the payment on time.
