Syncing Melio with QuickBooks Online saves time by eliminating double data entry. Bills, invoices, and vendor information will automatically appear in your Melio account. This article explains how to connect and sync your Melio account with your QuickBooks Online.
Is the sync with QuickBooks Online available to all subscription plans?
Core, Boost, and Unlimited subscribers enjoy unlimited sync between their Melio and QuickBooks Online accounts. Once you send or receive a payment through Melio, the status will be updated in your accounting software as well for seamless reconciliation.
Go subscribers can sync only the first 10 payments between their Melio and QuickBooks Online accounts. Whether these payments are synced from QuickBooks Online to Melio or vice versa, and whether they are payables or receivables, only 10 payments will be balanced between both accounts.
After this limit is reached, payments made in Melio will not sync to QuickBooks Online, and pending payment bills from QuickBooks Online will not sync to Melio.

Before connecting, make sure that the company name and email address used for both Melio and QuickBooks Online match exactly.
During your first connection,

details, we’ll ask you to confirm which ones should be linked together.
If you decide to skip linking any of the suggested vendors during this initial
review, you’ll need to confirm that choice.
Please note that vendors you skip at this stage cannot be linked later, so make
sure to review the matches carefully before continuing.
You have a few convenient options to connect your Melio account to QuickBooks Online:

- Connect Melio via the QuickBooks app store
Register for a Melio account with your Intuit credentials
Simply sign up for a Melio account with your Intuit credentials. In this case, your QuickBooks data will sync automatically.

Connecting QuickBooks Online within Melio Settings
If you already have a Melio account, you can easily connect from your settings:
1 - Select Settings from the left sidebar.
2 - Under the Company section, select Sync and Import.
3 - Find QuickBooks Online and select Connect.
4 - You’ll be prompted to log in to your QuickBooks Online account. Follow on-screen instructions.
5 - Select the Connect button to complete the connection.
6 - That’s it. Your Melio and QuickBooks Online accounts are now connected and synced.
In the Sync and Import section, you can also:
- See the last time your accounts were synced
- Manually sync your data by selecting Sync now.
- Disconnect your Melio and QuickBooks Online accounts.
Connecting Melio via the QuickBooks app store
Another way to connect and sync QuickBooks Online and Melio is through Intuit's QuickBooks app store.
1 - Open Intuit's QuickBooks app store and find the Melio app.
2 - Select Get app now.
3 - Enter your Intuit credentials.
4 - You’ll then be redirected to Melio, where you can sign up. After signing up, your Melio account and QuickBooks Online accounts will be connected and synced.

When a user disconnects from their accounting software, they can only reconnect
to the same company within the same platform they were previously using.
For example, if a user disconnects from QuickBooks Online, they will only see
the
option to reconnect to QuickBooks Online—not QuickBooks Desktop or Xero—when
attempting to reconnect their accounting software.
